The Giving Card – Part 1<\/span><\/h2>\n

Over the last few posts, we discussed banking strategies, commercial banks and credit unions<\/a>. \u00a0Now I think you’re ready for some tools and ideas that will help you take your banking plans to a new level. \u00a0Planning gives you a way to make your reality your dreams. \u00a0Let’s get started.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dream to Give<\/strong>
\n<\/b>Do you dream of a day you could give X number of dollars? \u00a0What would be a goal you could set to give this year? \u00a0If you have no goals, you have no reason to stretch yourself. \u00a0You have nothing to strive for. \u00a0I once heard it said that “God supplies all your needs; but you must 1st give Him a need you have.” \u00a0Pamela and I<\/a> like to come up with goals for our giving that create a need for God to supply. \u00a0We dream of new ways to give.<\/span><\/p>\n

Giving the Tithe, So What?<\/strong>
\nSome people think they’ve done something by giving God their tithe (10% of your earnings). \u00a0I say so what. \u00a0That belongs to Him anyway. \u00a0Maybe that’s going a little too far<\/a>. \u00a0Congratulations if you do give your tithe. \u00a0While many will lie and say they do, very few people actually put God 1st in this way. \u00a0Many will give excuses like that’s an Old Testament thing or it no longer applies. \u00a0Whatever the excuse, it’s still an excuse and if you fought what needed to be fought as much as this topic, it would serve the world better. \u00a0Nonetheless, we (Pamela & I<\/a>) concluded that giving our tithe wasn’t giving or at least not our best.<\/span><\/p>\n

What if I can’t give 10%?<\/strong>
\n<\/strong><\/span>Since we know that people make excuses and very few practice this type giving, I want to help those who really desire to be givers, but feel they can’t. \u00a0Let me first say, you can. \u00a0The problem is you might not want to give. \u00a0\"\"You see anything you set your mind to do, that you desire to do, you make a way. \u00a0People who don’t want to give aren’t really givers. \u00a0They’re pretenders and I can help take you from pretending to doing. \u00a0By the way, their are only 2 types of people: givers and receivers. \u00a0You can’t be both. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

When Pamela and I<\/a> got married, we discussed tithing and decided that it wasn’t an option. \u00a0From that moment to this one, we’ve tithed unconditionally. \u00a0Listen, we understand how difficult it may seem at first to give 10% especially when you need all the money you have and then some. \u00a0But let me say this, the reason you need all the money you have and then some, is because you’re not a giver. \u00a0You’re the 2nd person I mentioned, a receiver. \u00a0You will always need because that’s who you are on the inside. \u00a0Giving goes beyond what you have in your pocket.<\/p>\n

If you have intentions on becoming a giver, you need a plan. \u00a0It’s not as easy as you think. \u00a0I suggest you start where you are. \u00a0If you’re not giving anything, start with 1% and thank God as you give the one 1%. \u00a0Then plan when you can increase your giving to 2%, 4%, 10% and so on. \u00a0\u00a0Work a plan that can work for you.<\/p>\n
