{"id":1542,"date":"2017-11-24T03:00:09","date_gmt":"2017-11-24T09:00:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/kerryaclark.com\/?p=1542"},"modified":"2020-04-14T09:45:15","modified_gmt":"2020-04-14T14:45:15","slug":"four-pay-categories","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kerryaclark.com\/blog\/four-pay-categories\/","title":{"rendered":"The Four Pay Categories"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>On Paper We Do Have Enough \u2013 Part 4<\/h2>\n<p>Let\u2019s take a closer look at the \u201cPay\/Month\u201d calendar from my last post, <a href=\"http:\/\/kerryaclark.com\/blog\/one-problem-all-bill-payers-face\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The One Big Problem All Bill Payers Face.<\/a> &nbsp;We need to figure out or simply state which of the four pay categories you fit into.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-1543\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/kerryaclark.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/20171124-Payday.png?resize=376%2C347\" alt=\"\" width=\"376\" height=\"347\"><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Four Pay Categories:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Weekly<\/span> &#8211; You fit into the weekly pay category if you get paid every week or once each week. &nbsp;This is one of the rare pay categories. &nbsp;There aren\u2019t many people who fall into this category of getting paid every week. &nbsp;I would love that, but it\u2019s not for everyone.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Every other week<\/span> &#8211; To fit into this category, your payday comes every other week. &nbsp;For example, you get paid every other Friday. &nbsp;You receive a check one Friday, skip a Friday, then when next Friday rolls around you\u2019re paid again.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Twice a month<\/span> &#8211; \u201cTwice-ta-month\u201d, this is how old people say this one. &nbsp;It just means, you receive just 2 paychecks in any given month. &nbsp;This category\u2019s pay goes a little like this. &nbsp;You receive pay on the 15th and the last day of the month (or the 1st day of the month).<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Once a month<\/span> &#8211; Probably the hardest pay category to budget, this fourth one is the get paid \u201conce a month\u201d one. &nbsp;Just as it says, you get one paycheck in a given month. &nbsp;You have to wait a whole month before another rolls through.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Money in Hand<\/strong><br \/>\nNow that you know what category you fall, it\u2019s time to understand how much money you really have. &nbsp;Before you write down how much money you get per payday, let me say this. &nbsp;&nbsp;We don\u2019t care about how much is on paper. &nbsp;We don\u2019t care how much they say we make. &nbsp;We will only count the money we get in hand. &nbsp;That\u2019s how much money you really make. &nbsp;So if you get paid \u201ctwice-ta-month\u201d, your money in hand may look like this.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Payday 1 (15th) &#8211; $700<\/li>\n<li>Payday 2 (30th) &#8211; $700<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This is very important to know and come to grips with. &nbsp;Understand that the amount isn\u2019t as important as knowing what you truly have available.<\/p>\n<p>Take this moment and jot down how much you have in hand for each one of your paydays. &nbsp;This exercise is the easy part. &nbsp;As I\u2019ve stated before, you have at max four line items to write down.<\/p>\n<div class=\"su-note\"  style=\"border-color:#c7ced4;border-radius:3px;-moz-border-radius:3px;-webkit-border-radius:3px;\"><div class=\"su-note-inner su-u-clearfix su-u-trim\" style=\"background-color:#E1E8EE;border-color:#ffffff;color:#333333;border-radius:3px;-moz-border-radius:3px;-webkit-border-radius:3px;\"><div class=\"su-note\"  style=\"border-color:#e5e5e5;border-radius:3px;-moz-border-radius:3px;-webkit-border-radius:3px;\"><div class=\"su-note-inner su-u-clearfix su-u-trim\" style=\"background-color:#FFFFFF;border-color:#ffffff;color:#000000;border-radius:3px;-moz-border-radius:3px;-webkit-border-radius:3px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kerryaclark.com\/blog\/familyplan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Family Plan Binder<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kerryaclark.com\/blog\/familyplan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-1025\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/kerryaclark.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/Family-Plan-Cover-e1493399146525.png?resize=115%2C149\" alt=\"\" width=\"115\" height=\"149\" \/><\/a> is available now! <p><\/p>\nOur team has worked very hard putting it together.
