Celebrating a Holiday is a Choice<\/h2>\n

This week we take a pause from our regularly scheduled content to insert a special post about Easter.<\/span><\/p>\n

Clark & Co is dedicated to helping others (that\u2019s you) make your life your business. \u00a0Not only do we believe that you should take ideas and concepts from the business world to make your life what you desire, but also want you to know what you do with your life is no one else\u2019s business. Your life is your business and it\u2019s your business.<\/span><\/p>\n

It can go without saying, but it\u2019s no secret that I\u2019m a Christian. \u00a0This means as a part of our family plan, we celebrate Christian holidays like Easter and Good Friday. \u00a0In fact, these days are huge if you are a Christian. The point is…we settled on celebrating Easter as one of our family holidays.<\/span><\/p>\n

Whether in alignment or not<\/strong>
\nThe places we work have a set number of holidays it observes. The company has set and established which holidays the employees get to have pay-time-off (PTO). \u00a0But what happens when your company celebrates a holiday that you don\u2019t? You get a day off anyway. It makes it worthwhile when your celebrated holidays and the company\u2019s holidays are in alignment.<\/span><\/p>\n

You get to choose<\/strong>
\nI once argued with a friend of mine whether I had to come to work or not. \u00a0He said I didn\u2019t while I said I did. His point was I choose to come to work. \u00a0He made me realize that we have choices in life and you must never forget that. \u00a0Choices are the ground-floor to being free. There is no freedom without choices.<\/span><\/p>\n

For this message, you get to choose which holidays you and your family observe. \u00a0Write it down, make them visible and talk about them. You should have holidays you decide to celebrate, not just the holiday a company levies as a benefit to employees. In deciding, never let others degrade what you do celebrate.<\/span><\/p>\n

Celebrating is good and a lost art.<\/strong>
\nThe more days you can make special, the more excitement you bring to your life. \u00a0It\u2019s like having a vacation every 3 months. You look forward to the days you\u2019re going to be off. \u00a0So many days out, you begin to count down. Holidays should be the same. You should set plans and goals for your holiday celebrations. \u00a0Even if you don\u2019t have paid-time-off, there\u2019s no reason you still shouldn\u2019t make the day, weekend or week special. Learn to take charge of even your holidays. \u00a0It\u2019s your life, your family and it\u2019s your business.<\/span><\/p>\n

Today is Friday!<\/span>
\nThis week we celebrate the greatest Christian holiday ever and not everyone will celebrate it. That\u2019s okay, but celebrating is a personal choice. You set the course for your life, your family, your home because it\u2019s your business. \u00a0<\/span>
