This is reason number one as to why we created a DIY home plan.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pamela and I would often have discussions regarding what we wanted to add, update or improve in areas of our home. Unfortunately, time would pass and we\u2019d have forgotten what we wanted to do.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Challenge 2: No place to reference our plans.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We found ourselves not knowing what to do with what we had discussed. \u00a0Even if we\u2019d written it down, we\u2019d forget where it was located. If I\u2019d stored in my notes, then not everyone (namely Pamela) wouldn\u2019t have access to the notes. \u00a0The purpose of our Family Plan [insert link] is so that the family has access to the plans we\u2019ve made, specifically for this web-post, the plans for our home. We needed a place that would be central to all members of the family and could store our collective ideas and plans. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Challenge 3: Making the wrong home improvement projects a priority.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">How can you make a good decision about anything if you don\u2019t have all the possible options in front of you. \u00a0This was one of our major problems. We\u2019d start working on a project and fail to think about the prerequisite projects. \u00a0Then, we knew we had changes and updates we wanted to make all over; however it\u2019s difficult to pick a place to decide where to start when you don\u2019t have a list to evaluate. No list could mean we would start working on the wrong areas.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Challenge 4: Losing time. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This last challenge might be the most costly one of all. \u00a0It\u2019s losing time.
