I mixed up the order of my web-posts a bit to keep you interested in the topics I need to cover. \u00a0I know that music is more interesting than discussing digital note-taking, but I was thinking if I do this one well, then you will (at least) endure and possibly enjoy the topics to come that might not interest you as much, like digital journaling.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are two main reasons for this content on digital music.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Who\u2019s the Keeper of the Libraries? <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0When the digital music revolution hit, I became the go-to person of the family to transfer and store various family members\u2019 digital libraries. \u00a0Back when iPhones started growing in popularity, each time my sister-n-law got a new phone she\u2019d ask me to load her oldie-goldies. She has a pretty good collection, but I\u2019d occasionally throw in a few of my musical favs on her device.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can\u2019t imagine today how much space was needed on a hard-drive to store these libraries and the time it took to transfer them from CD\u2019s to digital format. \u00a0Regardless, I found joy in being the music library keeper. BTW &#8211; It\u2019s my joy to organize stuff like this.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This was reason one for embracing digital music; keeping the libraries was too time consuming and hard drives kept filling up.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Are You Embracing All Things Digital?<\/strong> \u00a0If you don\u2019t know by now, I\u2019m an information systems (I.S.) and technology (I.T.) professional. \u00a0Why would I remain behind in all things digital? This is the question Pamela and I asked several years ago. \u00a0Afterwards, we decided to go all in.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Millennials (if there is such a thing) won\u2019t own their music libraries, they just rent them. \u00a0Is this good or bad? We don\u2019t know, but it works and a heck (h-e-c-k) of a lot better than using an analog method. \u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What we mean by \u201cembracing\u201d was simply stop fighting it and be an early adopter of the technologies. \u00a0What we\u2019ve found are some great benefits others are missing out on.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Embracing all things digital doesn\u2019t mean you totally throw out your system or way of doing things. \u00a0It just means use the best of both worlds as it suits you.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The answer to our problems came by way of a hybrid system. \u00a0We saved our collections in a digital format and yes, we also subscribe to new digital solutions. \u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That brings me to the tools we wish to share: <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/music\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Google Play<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/dmusic\/promotions\/PrimeMusic\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Amazon Music<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.apple.com\/music\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Apple Music<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The problem&#8230;<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Today is Friday!<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Looks like we\u2019ve run out of time to give the detail of each tool; I only give myself 45 minutes to write and perfect this content. \u00a0Plus my wife doesn\u2019t like when the posts are too lengthy.
