A vision statement is a statement that projects a future image of who you\u2019re becoming.\u00a0 This statement can be a simple sentence or a document. At any rate, it\u2019s for you and your family to keep your focus on who you wish to become.\u00a0 It has little to do with “the now” but everything to do with “the later.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Let\u2019s begin with a definition that you can understand.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A “vision statement” is a short description of your <\/span>roadmap<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0 It\u2019s a description of your plan.\u00a0 It\u2019s a statement that you (and your family) draft that sets your direction.\u00a0 Why is this important? Let me explain.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWhere there is no vision [focus, attention, or forethought], the people perish [in the area of no vision]\u2026\u201d – <\/span><\/i>bible.com\/1\/pro.29.18.kjv<\/span><\/i><\/a><\/p>\n

Without a vision [statement], you die, you are destroyed, you pass away, or you end up in ruin.\u00a0 Let me give you an example.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

If you have no vision for your education, you\u2019ll stop right where you are.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

No vision for your marriage, you can pretty much guarantee that marriage will end in ruin.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

No vision for your career, it\u2019s not going anywhere.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Anything that ends well, had a vision for it\u2019s successful ending.\u00a0 What are you envisioning?<\/span><\/p>\n

The Thought or Concept:<\/span><\/p>\n

You need a “vision statement” if you want to have a course or destination you wish to reach with your life.\u00a0 The word vision means to have sight. What are you seeing for your life? Vision is that statement that makes faith possible.\u00a0 If you can see your dreams, then you see the things that fuels faith that makes it possible.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
