How we plan to promote what and who we are?
\n<\/span>What are your values?\u00a0 Do you have a written set of values to refer to?\u00a0 How will you explain to your children, your spouse, your friends, what you stand for?\u00a0 Values are vital. They give you and your family the boundaries and limits in which you can operate.\u00a0 Without values you will fall for anything and everything will get you off course.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Knowing that we can\u2019t live the successful life we choose without having values, we use our <\/span>nolongercommon.com<\/span><\/a> five growth areas to define our family\u2019s values in more detail.\u00a0 In other words, we have identified five key areas we wish to set boundaries, limits, and standards for our family.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n<\/b>In order to set clear expectations for your family\u2019s identity, you need to create a set of values.\u00a0 What does your family stand for? Everyone can tell you what they don\u2019t stand for or stand against when situations occur, but what standards have you documented that states here\u2019s what we believe and value?\u00a0 I\u2019ve heard our <\/span>local church pastor<\/span><\/a> say that most churches are good at telling you what they are against, but very few say what they\u2019re in favor of.\u00a0 Today we want to help you begin the process of drafting your own list of family or individual values.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Our Family\u2019s Motto.<\/strong>\u00a0 <\/span>Our family\u2019s motto is this… \u201cIf not us, then who…\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

We believe every family could use a motto.\u00a0 This one gives us a reason to do what we do.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

For example, if we don\u2019t pray for our friends, then who will?\u00a0 If not us, then who?\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

If we don\u2019t support our family, then who will?\u00a0 If not us, then who?\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

If we don\u2019t represent Jesus, then who will?\u00a0 If not us, then who?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

You see \u201c<\/span>where family values are strong peer pressure is weak and where family values are weak, peer pressure is strong.<\/span><\/i><\/a>\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
