Abusing Sex is Dumb<\/strong>

Since God Created Sex<\/strong>

Just so you know, I’m going to use this word as often as I can even though it makes us all cringe. The goal is to relieve us from this cringing effect if not totally, somewhat.\u00a0 Are you ready? Sex, Sex, Sex, Sex, Sex.\u00a0 In fact, I am cringing now saying this word because people have made it so unrighteous and even unclean.\u00a0 Because of this, “sex” has been made derogatory in how we view the word.\u00a0 While this three-letter word may be hard to find in the version of the Bible you read, the concept is not.\u00a0 Allow me to enlighten you a bit.\u00a0 “Sex” and the concept of “sex” was not one created by humans or mankind, but rather “sex” was created by God, first and foremost.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n

Therefore, sex is not complex or at least God did not intend for it to be. Complications occur, like with anything, when people abuse it for others.  When I think back, I remember how the idea of \u201csex\u201d seemed like a complicated activity.  Truthfully for me, it was also painted as being dangerous. In that it could produce life, a baby, for those who engaged in the act but never desired to produce offspring. Then, there was the fear of acquiring a sexually transmitted disease.  What can I say to help you, my daughter, someone’s son, or your friends to keep it simple and give you the appropriate perspective? I certainly don\u2019t want to leave you afraid of something God created for you to experience and enjoy.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I will do my best to explain why sex is not complicated. While at the same time making sure you keep in mind that it can make a mess of things very quickly.  I want you to understand the pain that sex can bring when not initiated properly and how you can avoid this pain that continues to plague most people throughout their lifetime.  At the same time, I want to paint a picture of sex for you that is far from negative or undesirable, but the total opposite.  That means it should be positive and desirable.  This is what God created for us all and we need to understand it.  So, Lord, help me, help this dad.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dumb people are masters at having sex. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDumb people are the best at having sex.”<\/em> I heard this quote, and, while I would rather not call anyone dumb, that phrase can be offensive. However, it has taught me an important point about \u201csex.\u201d  Allow me to elaborate.  Most things we do take education, passing tests, and so on, but not sex.  Dumb people [forgive me] are the best at having sex.  Did you know that you don’t have to be smart when it comes to sex, to perform the act?   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In our society, people often speak of human beings as being animalistic in this regard. It is tempting to say we have sex with one another like animals do.  The word used for animals having sex is mating. They mate.  We use the term mate when referring to animals.  You are not an animal, so sex is not limited to mating for humankind.  In fact, even though sex results in reproducing humans, it is not just an activity for reproduction when it comes to human-beings.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The truth is dumb people, or people who have very little going on, will be better at it because these people have very little else to do.  When your life is consumed with purpose and passion, you are not controlled by fleshly desires.  That\u2019s why I call it dumb.  A person who is controlled by fleshly desires, practice the act of sex more than those on a mission or an assignment in life.  When a person\u2019s only focus is sex, he or she becomes very skilled at the activity.  If that’s all a person is focused on, you get better at it.  When you have very little to focus on, you will default back to basic human instincts and the things that come naturally.  Sex for humans was never meant to be isolated to this type of thinking. Allow me to give an example.  We know that a person who isn\u2019t busy will eat or consume more food than a person who is busy working.  A person who is not busy will give over to the body\u2019s desire to eat more often. In the same way, a person who is idle more often will give over to the body\u2019s desire for sex more often than the person who is not. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here\u2019s another example to help bring this thought home. When you are active, you don’t have time to just sit, watch television, and relax.  You have work to do.  If you are an athlete, you put the work in before you can relax and recover.  If you are not very active, one thing that you will find yourself doing is engaging in a lot of sexual activities.  I only tell you this so that you know and can understand that for many, \u201csex\u201d is a constant and consuming topic as well as a consuming activity.  You may have heard this saying, \u201can idle mind is the devil\u2019s playground.\u201d  Then there is a close second phrase, \u201cidle hands are the devil\u2019s workshop.\u201d [1]<\/sup> In other words, a person who is not busy will make a mess of things like sex that were never meant to be messy.  When you have very little going on, you will take something that’s meant to have a different purpose and abuse it.  Sex is something that can be, and as we all know has been, abused.  That\u2019s dumb.  Therefore, I want you to know that going in. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
