Many times we believe it’s not possible for us to make a living using our talents and skills, but ask Michael Jordan that question. The key you’re missing is how to use your gift. Everything we have and do can earn income for us if we can figure out how. The best planning you can do is how to use your gifts to make a living. You can do what you’re good at and make it profitable. This is what separates ordinary people from the exceptional.

Do what you’re good at and make it profitable.
Nothing in life comes automatic. It requires work. Even the life you’re currently living requires work. You made the life you have and you can also “make” the life you desire. Let me give you an example. Let’s say you’re a talented athlete and I mean really talented. As soon as this talent became obvious, you started to use and shape it. Maybe you played a sport in high school and you excelled. Everyone knows you’re good. Because you’re totally in, you move to the next level-college. You play and develop your talent even more in college and you once again excel. The only time you don’t (excel that is) is when you’re not working on your talent. Through many competitions and successes, you qualify for the Olympics. Now you’re at the highest level possible. Your job now is to be an Olympic athlete. It’s all you do and it’s how you make your living.

Now parallel this extreme example to the gift you have. I bet you never thought of it as being as great of a gift as an Olympic swimmer or sprinter. Why not? Your gift may not get you to the Olympics, but it can get you to the life you desire and deserve. Your gift, talent, skills or trade make you exceptional. Train and practice your gift like an Olympic gymnast does and you will be known for your gift.

You know what you should be.
Maybe you desire to be a certain type of doctor. Well map it out. What would it take for you to become that doctor. Forget how difficult or how long that path might be. Once you have it mapped out, all that’s left is to work towards it and all you have to do is fill in the gaps from there. Yes. It sounds easy, but not impossible. The only time it’s impossible is when you don’t have a laid out plan. Your planning moves the dream from impossible to possible.

Today is Friday!
In our next post, we discuss defining your gifts. Before you can move on them, you need to know what they are. To begin this process, answer these two questions: what are you good at and what do you enjoy most?

Vision: The Purpose for My Life – Part 4 I have to admit that in our previous post, setting a 10-15 year timeline to move “some-day” to today, was the easy part. The items are logical and doesn’t require a whole lot of thought. This post, however, will be a little harder. You’ll need to […]

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false

53,21,19,266

0":"post-907","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-dream","8":"category-executive-administration","9":"category-today-is-friday","10":"category-vision-the-purpose-for-my-life","11":"entry

https://i0.wp.com/www.kerryaclark.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/20170317-TIF-Blog-The-Purpose-for-My-Life-Part-4.png?fit=760%2C360&ssl=1
["GET
