Overpopulation, Shortages, and Slavery
Misused People Gifts – Part 5
The Eastward People Group also known as Asian is a group found in a region that encompasses all of Asia pretty much. Because of their ability to produce, innovate, grow quickly, and create products, this people-group when their gift is abused and misused is like a virus. It reminds me of what the computer program, Smith, in The Matrix said to Morpheus. “The human race, your species, is like a virus.” What you find as a result of their abuse and misuse is depletion of resources, overpopulation, environmental damages, resource over-consumptive, and rapidly spreading diseases. When abuse and misuse of the Eastward People Group occur, the result is seen in, for example, communism where there is stricter government, to help combat the abuse of such a gift. When misused and abused the effects spread like a virus. The extent of the devastation expands rapidly touching every part, it’s hard to contain and control, takes massive work to combat, can’t be easily quarantined, and gets out of hand very quickly. Like a virus it spreads beyond like a wildfire and into other people-groups and around the earth.
While the Eastward people-group is gifted in supplying the world with products, innovations, and goods, at the same time, it creates many problems and panic when abuse occurs. It becomes like a virus. In this installment, I would like to give you three examples of what this looks like in our society. So that, 1) we can be exposed to this type of activity and then 2) do our part to help eliminate the abuse and misuse that we see happening with the people that are around us, specifically the eastward people-group.
Overpopulation
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic that we most recently experienced, diseases and illnesses of that nature represent a virus that spreads. Obviously, a virus can and does spread rapidly in an environment that has overpopulation and massive numbers of people. Billions of people inhabit the eastward people-group region. With poor living conditions as well as limited access to health care, diseases can be problematic in what seems like overnight. These are such negative results that plague us all when this group experiences misuse and abuse.
This reminds me of a conversation I had with a colleague who spent some time in this area. His observations came from one of the most populous cities. He mentioned how it lacked, not just the laws that govern, cleanliness as well as the personal hygiene as compared to other areas around the world. There were irrigation problems as well as waste control problems with sewer systems. The first thought was maybe this wasn’t regulated. However, it could have just been what’s expected in an environment with the gifts of these people getting abused and misused.
He went on to the amount of visible pollution. There were times when the pollution was so thick that from the ground it would shield the sun’s rays and if you were above the pollution looking down from your hotel room, it shielded your view of the ground. This effect and environment impact is the signs of what can occur when people-groups are misused and abused. When we notice such devastating effects, it’s worth each of the other people-groups taking note and helping to fight against any abuse and misuse of God’s people. In other words, we as a global community should never stand for such conditions.
Shortages
This people-group when abused and misused can have shortages from two sides of the same coin, so to speak. Due to overpopulation and overconsumption of resources, it’s easy for these people to experience shortages, famines, droughts, and things of that nature that impacts millions of people all at once. Any substantial change in resources threatens greater numbers. Anytime there’s degradation in a place that is as populated as the eastward people-group, then you can find scarcity, lack, shortages of materials and products. This is a recipe that threatens survival.
On the other hand, a group of this nature can create massive devastation elsewhere. When this group is having shortages and they are responsible for supplying the world with products and goods, there’s a chain reaction that begins which now impacts the rest of the world. Therefore, the misuse and abuse of the eastward people-group is a threat to the other people-groups. When the eastward group of people suffers, productivity levels from the group to supply such things has dramatically decreased and will create shortages around the world. Therefore it’s to all of our advantage to make sure each people-group experiences less abuse and misuse, specifically this eastward group of God’s people.
Slavery
This last example may catch you by surprise. It’s slavery. In researching the eastward people-group, it is said to be the home of the top 10 nations or bordering nations that experience modern day slavery. That means slavery today is found in the eastward people-group more than any other. When we think of slavery in the United States or in the western hemisphere, we naturally think about slavery in terms of people of African (southward) descent.
If the truth be told, people in the eastward group are being enslaved more so and even as we speak, which is the result of misuse and abuse of this people-group. That’s what happens when there is an over population and an ample supply of people that can be useful for whatever purposes outside of the intent for which they were created. In other words, we’re using people in a way that one should not be used. Because they are so overflowing with people slavery runs rampant because it can go undetected. It’s hard to combat because there are so many people and when it’s plentiful in this regard, people can be seen as a commodity instead of a human life. People then become the equivalent to goods and services.
When people are used like a commodity, those enslaved individuals are packed, packaged and shipped all around the world. In the same way, as any other goods and products that come from this very same area. I know that sounds pretty bad and it should. That’s misused and abused. Because people-groups are not small, the resulting problems that come with their misuse and abuse are huge. It will take a global effort to 1) slow it down, and 2) to eradicate it.
The goal of lessons on the misuse and abuse of people-groups is so that we can have half the battle already won. There was a phrase that was popularized with the cartoon, GI Joe, and it ended each episode with “Now you know. And knowing is half the battle…” In order to fight a battle, awareness, being prepared, and having knowledge is half the battle.
So that we can eradicate the misuse and abuse of any type of people group, each of us must do our best to create a global impact around the world. These are God’s People, we are God’s people. He created each and every people-group, specifically the eastward people-group for His own purpose, His own will and what they have contributed to Earth has aligned perfectly with His plan.
What we have done is misused those gifts and abilities for our own efforts and purposes that don’t align with His intent. Therefore, we have the challenges that we see. This eastward people-group is in place because it’s a part of God’s Plan and it’s His plan to use His people to add value and push the global community of people forward in ways that we have never ever seen before. That’s happening through His awesome plan for this particular people-group, the eastward people-group.
