God Created It, Not the Devil
What Was Sex Meant to Be? Part 2
Sex is a gift from God for people who engage in it. Don’t get this one twisted. The devil has lied to us, society has painted a misleading picture, and the church has misrepresented it, if I might be frank. Intercourse between a man and a woman is a gift from God, and we shouldn’t allow the devil to distort what God has created. [1] God created it, not the devil. People have messed it up, and the devil has helped make it a source of pain, hurt, and disappointment. When we use it as God intended, it becomes an extraordinary and precious gift. Therefore, I want you to elevate your thinking regarding this activity meant for a married couple to engage in and enjoy.

A wife should be seen as the only person who supplies her husband with such a gift. I want to repeat it: A wife should be seen as the only person who can supply her husband with this gift. That’s a powerful statement. A wife desires to be the only one who supplies her husband with such a gift. As I said before, we have to treat it as a gift. Let me say it another way.
A husband should be seen as the only person who gets to supply his wife with such a gift. A husband should be seen as the only person who supplies his wife with the gift of sex. To be more specific, a husband needs sex, and that should be directed towards his wife, who is the supplier of this gift, and that’s the purpose. A wife can meet this need and, at the same time, provide this gift. That’s the point when we keep this in the proper perspective, a righteous perspective, in a godly perspective, what it was meant for becomes a reality, and because we treat it with its intent, it is not abuse, it does not harm. It becomes much more satisfying and enjoyable when done correctly.
Question: In what ways has sex been viewed as something other than a gift?
