Two Ways You Can Create Your Family Plan
A Plan for Your Family to Use – Part 3
I think I know what you’re thinking. How can I make my own Family Plan? That’s easy and I’m going to tell you how and at the same time I’m going to offer you the very one we use as a family. While you might not want to make the investment in our family plan, I don’t want you not to make the investment of a family plan in your family.
“A wise man thinks ahead; a fool doesn’t and even brags about it!” – Proverbs 13:16 TLB
Before I get into the how, let me encourage you more on the when. When should you put your family plan together? Today. Even if it means breaking out a sheet of paper and writing your plans and ideas on it. The actual tool itself isn’t what I’m selling, but rather the idea of and the results that come by way of having your own plan. So the time to plan is yesterday, but since we missed yesterday the next best time is today. Do it now. Here’s how.
The Thought or Concept:
I want to begin planning.
All you need to begin your plan is a way to capture your plans and a place to store it that’s easily accessible. I ask that you don’t make this complicated. We’ve found that the more complicated a process is, the easier it becomes to avoid using. Find the easiest most simplistic way possible. Remember it’s your life, your business, and your plan. You’re not making a plan for others, you’re making a plan so that you can read it. You and your family that is. It’s your guidebook for where you’re taking your family.
The Practice:
With that said I want to give the instructions on how we crafted ours and how you can craft your own.
Making your own version of our family plan.
Maybe you wish to make your own family plan. That’s okay and I’m glad you’re making a decision to start one. Here’s what you will need to get started:
- One three ring binder.
You will use this binder to place all the pieces in one place. - Binder tab dividers.
You see I’m a binder person and no binder is good without dividers used to separate the content; specifically the departments used in running your life, your home, your business. - One hole punch.
This item is very important. There will be many times you’ll receive a document you wish to insert into your binder. Without a hole punch your binder will get messy so go ahead and plan to get this item. It’s critical to keeping your plans organized.
It’s easier to get started when you have a family plan designed for you to plan for your life.
Now I need to share some good news and bad news with you. The bad news first. While making your own planner might save you $10 bucks it will end up costing you more in the long run. What I mean by that is, you might miss out on including the necessary pieces you need within the plan. Creating your own plan doesn’t come with the fancy dividers and the worksheet for each department. Therefore, you might enjoy our convenient, professional family plan binder. It’s available for you at familyplan.kerryaclark.com.
The good news is we’ve already done the work of creating a usable and professional binder desired for planning your life, your family, your business. Our family plan comes with the following:
- A three ring binder.
- A summary for planning.
- Instructions.
- A worksheet for each department.
- A binder cover.
- Dividers
- and more.
Alright then, now that you have two options, what are you waiting on? I hope nothing. I think you have all you need to begin making the one plan that will benefit you the most, yours.
Today is Friday!
It’s time to stop talking about it, time to stop thinking about and time to get to it. Begin your own family plan. Whether you create your own three ring binder or use our professionally designed binder, doesn’t matter. What matters is that you have a plan that will take your life and your family to the next level.
Question: What piece to the family plan are you missing?
