Vision: The Purpose for My Life – Part 6
If you are still having trouble finding your gift, don’t worry I have one more way to help you find it. No one needs to go through life not knowing what they were meant to be doing. Unfortunately, this is common. Most of us do just that, go through life with no idea of what we were meant and created to do. This is not okay with me. You have a purpose and I want to do anything I can to help you find it. What you do from there is up to you.
What do you enjoy?
This question is a good starting point. What do you enjoy? The answer to this question exposes your gift. However, its opposite may be more powerful. What do you hate? And I don’t mean, what food you hate. There is something you hate, like poverty or abuse. To determine what you enjoy, you may first need to examine what it is you hate. Your gift may be just that simple, rid the world of the one thing you hate. In doing so, it’s the only thing that brings you enjoyment. The two go hand-in-hand.
How do you incorporate this gift into everyday life?
Well my first response is use your gift, don’t just place it on a shelf to pick up later. It shouldn’t be one of those things you place on your some-day maybe list. If your career and gift have nothing in common, I hate to be the one to tell you (not), you’re out of your element with what you should be doing. You have the wrong job. I know you’ve wondered at some time or another, am I at the right job? Is this what I should be doing? Well, if you need help answering that, make it simple. If you’re not aligning your gift with your work, then you are in the wrong line of work. It’s not hard.
You see everything I do, is helping me better my gift. I have 3 platforms:
- Sohrs.com: it’s a resource to connect every Christian resource on the planet. To do this, it will need to be simple and organized.
- NoLongerCommon.com: this website is designed to deliver the message that ordinary is not enough and “ordinary” is not a Christian characteristic. To get this message out requires me to be (you guessed it) simple yet organized.
- KerryAClark.com: with this platform, we create tools, services and resources to help others improve the “business of running their life.” This too requires me to be as simple as possible, but organized.
All of this is done, because one day I realized I was gifted in these areas. I make projects simple and organized.
Today is Friday!
